US President Joe Biden Immediately Visits Hawaii
JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden said he and his wife, Jill Biden, would visit the State of Hawaii as soon as possible.
Biden revealed the plan during a press conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he addressed economic plans called Bidenomics.
While emphasizing the need to talk about the forest fires that destroyed the island of Maui, Biden said, "The deadliest forest fire that destroyed a city over 100 years old; the historical generation of indigenous Hawaii residents underwent destruction."
Biden said he had spoken to Hawaiian GovernorJosh Green several times, and said "the state will have everything the federal government needs."
Biden approved Governor Green's request to accelerate major disaster declarations. The approval proves Biden's dedication to providing whatever the region needs.
