All-New BMW M2 Coupe At GIIAS 2023, Kalem In Display But Buas In Performance
JAKARTA - At the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), BMW shared a space to show off with Mini at the BMW Group Pavilion, and showed off some of their newest models.
Within the BMW Group Pavilion, this Bavarian manufacturer displays 24 units of vehicles, including various models ranging from gasoline, hybrid, to electric cars. Among these models, there has been one model that has caught the eye since the start of the event.
The model is the All-New BMW M2 Coupe, which was first present in Indonesia. In GIIAS 2023, this type of couple car is presented in two variants, namely the All-New BMW M2 Coupe and the All-New BMW M2 Couple Purist.
The car is reinforced by the technology and chassis adopted from its brother model, BMW M3 or BMW M4. The All-New BMW M2 Coupe is claimed to have extraordinary agile maneuverability and control.
This car is the second generation of an M2 family introduced in October 2022. Different from the previous generation, the All-New BMW M2 Coupe appeared with a more compact design and a touch of BMW M.
The second generation of M2 has a length dimension of 4,580 mm, a width of 1,887 mm, a height of 1,402 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,746 mm. Different from M3 and M4 which have a large grip, the All-New M2 Coupe has a goal more proportional to the horizontal crossbar which provides an elegant look on this car.
The BMW M touch is also visible on the front with lower entry airways and rectangular contours, giving a sporty face typical of BMW M.
Other BMW M details that adorn the exterior include the M Carbon roof, the M high gloss Shadow Line line with wider content, the M headliner anthracite inner roof, the M velg light alloy measuring 19 and 20 inches with Double-spoke style 930 M Bicolour and mixed tires, as well as tightening wheel bolts. While the All-New BMW M2 Coupe Purist variant is also equipped with the M Race Track Package.
Not only exteriors, the feel of sporty is also felt in the cabin with M Sport seats, carbon fiber decorations from M, M depositers, and Vernasca upholstery wrap. All-New BMW M2 Coupe also features a BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 12.3-inch multifunctional instrument and a 14.9-inch screen that uses the BMW Operating System 8 operating system including the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

The optimal performance produced by the All-New BMW M2 Coupe comes from a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder alert engine that produces up to 460 dk of power and a 550 Nm torque. With this engine, this car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in 4 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of more than 250 km/hour.
The second generation of M2 personnel is also supported by a six-speed manual transmission that provides sporty performance like a racing car.
At GIIAS 2023, the All-New BMW M2 Coupe was sold for IDR 1.759 billion, while the Coupe Purist variant was offered for 1.939 billion rupiah.
