Polemic of Susun Bayam Village Has Been Taken to Court, DKI Provincial Government Firmly Offers Flats for Residents
JAKARTA - Acting Head of DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Service (DPRKP), Retno Sulistyaningrum, responded to a lawsuit filed by residents of Kampung Bayam regarding the polemic of Susun Bayam Village to the State Administrative Court (PTUN).
Until now, some of the residents affected by the eviction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) have not been able to settle down in Kampung Susun Bayam because there has been no agreement regarding rental fees by Jakpro as the managing Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD).
Even though the residents demanded to be able to stay in Susun Bayam Village to court, Retno still offered them to move to Rusunawa Nagrak in Cilincing, North Jakarta.
"The DPRKP's task is to provide housing solutions in Rusunawa Nagrak, if residents are willing to occupy them," said Retno in a text message, Monday, August 14.
The Nagrak flats have been offered to the residents of Kampung Bayam for some time. However, residents refused because the location of the Nagrak Flat has access which is quite difficult for their daily activities.
Therefore, Retno admitted that she would coordinate with the relevant regional work unit (SKPD) so that it would make it easier for residents.
"Related to school distance and access constraints, coordination will be carried out with the related SKPD, in this case, the Education Authorities (Disdik) is related to school transfers, the Transportation Agency is related to the provision of busway feeders. On the ground floor it can be used for business space," she explained.

Residents of Kampung Bayam sued the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta and PT Jakarta Propertindo to the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) because they were still unable to occupy Kampung Susun Bayam.
Kampung Susun Bayam was founded by former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan for residents of Kampung Bayam who were evicted due to the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). Since it was inaugurated in October 2022, residents have not been able to occupy Kampung Susun Bayam.
Representative of the Kampung Bayam Residents Brotherhood (PWKB) from LBH Jakarta, Jihan Fauziah Hamdi said, this lawsuit was filed by the residents of Kampung Bayam because they had not received the rights to the unit to inhabit and manage Kampung Susun Bayam.
"This lawsuit asks PTUN to order Jakpro and DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to immediately provide Kampung Bayam units to Kampung Bayam residents as the basis has been clear through the DKI Governor Decree 979/2022 and North Jakarta Mayor's Letter number e-0176/PU.04.0," said Jihan in a written statement.
