Golkar And PAN Join KKIR, PKB Continues To Submit Cak Imin As Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) continues to propose its General Chair, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) to become a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.
This was emphasized by the Chairman of the PKB DPP Daniel Johan in response to the joining of the Golkar Party and PAN to the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) made by Gerindra and PKB. At the same time supporting Prabowo to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.
"PKB will continue to carry Cak Imin as the sole proposal," said Daniel Johan, to reporters, Sunday, August 13.
Regarding the name of the coalition, Daniel admitted that he did not know whether the KKIR would later be changed after Golkar and PAN were close together. However, he said, if there is a proposal, the name of the new coalition will be considered.
"So far, the name of the coalition is still the same. But we'll see if there are proposals, of course it will be considered," said Daniel Johan.
Meanwhile, Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto has opened his voice regarding the determination of the candidate for vice president who will accompany him when he progresses as a presidential candidate in 2024.
Prabowo said that the four parties would discuss determining who the vice presidential candidate would be, which could later be agreed upon.
