Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train Fares Proposed IDR 250,000 for the Next 3 Years
JAKARTA - The Jakarta-Bandung fast train (KCJB) fare is proposed at IDR 250,000 for passengers for the next three years.
President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia China (KCIC) Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi said the fare was a discounted price for passengers in class II carriages.
"We have proposed it to the Ministry of Transportation, what we have said, yes, for the past three years we have proposed a discounted rate of IDR 250,000," Dwiyana said at Halim Station, East Jakarta, reported by Kompas.com, Saturday, August 12.
"Because with the Argo Parahyangan train fare, it will be easier to choose whether to use the fast train or use the Argo Parahyangan," he continued.

Dwiyana has not been able to mention about KCJB's normal rates. Meanwhile, KCJB rates are discounted so that people are interested in riding the train.
"The main thing is IDR 250,000 first, how can that attract people's interest in switching from the toll road to the fast train. (To) reduce traffic jams," he explained, quoted by Kompas.com.
