ABM Investama Subsidiary Increases Nickel Industry
JAKARTA - A subsidiary of PT ABM Investama Tbk, PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Logistics) has begun to enter the nickel industry to contribute to the government's efforts to encourage the strengthening of the nickel sector in Indonesia.
"We are committed to supporting the government's efforts to increase nickel exports, so it is hoped that Indonesia's nickel exports will also develop," said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CKB Logistics Iman Sjafei quoting Antara.
In that context, this logistics service provider company mobilizes its integrated logistics services to expand the nickel reach to remote areas in Indonesia. That way, it is hoped that the development of the nickel business will improve and the added value of nickel will increase.
So far, the reach of CKB Logistics services has reached many regions in Indonesia, such as Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and also the eastern part of Indonesia such as Sulawesi, Ternate, Ambon, and Papua.
The company also formed a strategic partnership with other ore mining companies as an effort to strengthen the industry.
In partnership, CKB Logistics acts as a contractor in fulfilling supply chain management which includes warehousing, consolidation, freight forwarding, transhipment services, and global logistics management.

"We believe this partnership will bring a variety of skills, reduce the workload between companies, and expand business reach," said Iman.
CKB Logistics has also pocketed accreditation as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) company. This is the company's capital to produce innovations that will later be able to support the performance of the nickel industry in the country.
Indonesia is a country with large nickel reserves, which is 23.7 percent. The government is currently intensifying downstream efforts to increase the added value of commodities by limiting nickel exports in stages.
