Masses Of Workers At The Horse Statue Have Not Yet Disbanded, Police Chant Selawatan
JAKARTA - A group of workers who held a demonstration in the Horse Statue area and Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta has not yet disbanded. In fact, according to the rules, the time limit for the action is allowed only until 18.00 WIB.
As of 21.45 WIB, the oration was still taking place by the action participants, taking turns from the top of the command car. The contents of their demands are the same, namely asking the government to revoke the Job Creation Act.
Police officers are on standby behind barbed wire that limits them to the mass action on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat.
From loudspeakers, it can be heard the chanting of salawatan voiced by the police. There has been no attempt to disband the surviving workers.
On Jalan MH Thamrin which is still blocked, to be precise in front of the Indonesian Bawaslu building, Brimob officials have begun to be alerted. tactical vehicles have also been stationed at the location.

In the evening, the workers had burned tires and wood from the attributes of their demonstration. At around 19.20 WIB, a number of workers also tried to break through the barbed wire which was also limited by concrete barriers, but they did not make it to Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat towards the Constitutional Court building.
Since this afternoon, workers who are members of the Alliance of the People's Labor Movement (GEBRAK) and the Action Alliance of One Million Workers (AASB) have blocked Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta. The Horse Statue Roundabout was also blocked by the mass of workers who spilled over.
As a result of this demonstration, traffic around Jalan MH Thamrin has stalled from day to night. A number of officers from the police and the Transportation Service also regulated the flow of vehicles at the intersection.
In today's demonstration, the labor group carried the attributes of flags and banners that read their rejection of the Job Creation Law.
They also brought a statue of a 2 meter tall rat. The statue, which symbolizes that the corruptor is seen carrying a suitcase containing money and a document from the Job Creation Law.
