Get Privilege, LPDP Students Are Reminded To Reply Budi To Tax Payers
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara gave directions to 275 LPDP scholarship recipients (awardee) at the Awardee Departure Preparation event in the middle of this week. In his direction, he emphasized the importance of education as a way to improve the quality of human resources.
"We want each of the schools because we are really looking for an upgrade, because you are sure that the school provides a wider future opportunity," he said as reported by the official website on Thursday, August 10.
Suahasil also gave encouragement to awardees in undergoing a study period to also expand their network, especially with students from other countries.
"This is important to enrich the insight and experience of the life as well as the network that is built will be useful in the future," he said.
Suahasil explained that the funds used to finance departures at home and abroad came from the results of the management of education endowment funds.

He said that since 2007 the amount of IDR 1 trillion from the APBN has been set aside every year to be included in the endowment fund. Now, the total endowment funds that have been collected amount to more than IDR 130 trillion.
