Construction Of Road Access Karawang High Speed Train Station Will Resign For 6 Months

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that the construction of road access at the Karawang High-speed Train Station will be closed for six months.

He explained that the delay in road construction at the station was because the government prioritized the construction of Padalarang and Tegalluar Stations.

"We will decide that his name is also Jakarta-Bandung, where the point is Padalarang and Tegalluar, that's what we did first, in Karawang it could be six months delayed," he said at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Monday, August 7.

Erick admitted that the operation of the high-speed train would not be disrupted by the delay in the construction of road access at Karawang Station.

"It's not (disturbed), it's the Jakarta-Bandung route, not Jakrta-Karawang. It's not getting around, but it's true," he explained.

Even so, Erick is optimistic that the construction of road access at Karawang Station can run well.

Moreover, he said, the Karawang area is surrounded by a number of housing complexes which generally also provide road access.

Erick added that the Ministry of SOEs through PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) will build access to exit and enter Karawang Station via toll roads.

"If we look at the housing area, the housing is good, it's just a matter of finding access that is easy to enter the toll road," he said.

Regarding the access road, Erick asked who made the road access at Karawang Station.

Even so, he assured that he would complete the construction.

"What's wrong, he said, Mr. Erick Thohir, don't know first who made Karawang, Tegalluar saha (who)? We just have to finish it, and it will be finished," he said.
