Inaugurated By President Jokowi, The Bocimi Toll Road Tariff Is Free Until August 20, 2023
JAKARTA - The Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road Section 2 Cigombong-Cibadak officially operates after being inaugurated directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), today.
Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Miftachul Munir said the Bocimi Toll Road Section 2 Cigombong-Cibadak will operate without toll rates, aka free until 20 August.
He hopes that the toll road can increase access to tourism areas around Lido, Sukabumi, Pelabuhan Ratu, Ujung Genteng, to Geopark Ciletuh.
"After being inaugurated, the Cigombong-Cibadak section will be operated without tariff until August 20, 2023," Munir said in a written statement, Friday, August 4.
The Cigombong-Cibadak toll road itself will be connected to the Bogor area which is connected to the Jagorawi toll road.
In addition, the presence of these sections will further facilitate the economic connectivity of the community from the industrial, goods and services sectors because it will be connected to the South Coast of West Java from Sukabumi to Pangandaran.
Furthermore, the Bocimi toll road work will be continued to Section 3 of the Cibadak-West Sukabumi section. This can be a solution for congestion from the direction or towards Sukabumi, even to the Queen's Port on the South Coast of Java.
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, and Regent of Sukabumi Marwan Hamami inaugurated the Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road Section 2 Cigombong-Cibadak in Sukabumi, today.
"Alhamdulillah, today, the 11.9 km Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road for the Cigombong-Cibadak section has been completed and is ready to operate," said President Jokowi.
President Jokowi said this section cost Rp3.2 trillion. With the completion of this road, the travel time from Jakarta to Sukabumi, which previously took 5-6 hours, can now be accelerated to about 2.5 hours.
"This section will accelerate the mobility of people, goods, and also those related to investment, because from existing investor surveys, West Java is ranked first because the most toll roads are built," he added.
The Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road consists of 4 sections with a total length of 54 km.
Until now, Section 1 Ciawi-Cigombong along 15.35 km has been operating since December 2018.
Section 2 of Cigombong-Cibadak, which was inaugurated previously, has been used to facilitate the flow of Lebaran homecoming, on April 15-1 May 2023.

"We hope that until Section 3 Cibadak-West Sukabumi can be completed by the end of 2024, it means that it has passed a severe congestion point in Cibadak Market," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.
