Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said his party recorded dozens of brawls in the period last July. The brawl occurred in the areas of Johar Baru, Sawah Besar, and Tanah Abang.
"Indeed, if we look at the monthly comparison from June to July. In July there was an increase. Especially brawls. Yes, even though we see the pattern they do, most of them are just children with styles. You could say they are looking for identity and association," said Kombes Komarudin when confirmed, Thursday, August 3.
However, his party is guarding for 24 hours by deploying personnel in the field. The Central Jakarta Metro Police stated that the perpetrators of the brawl are currently dominated by students.
"90 percent of brawlers are teenagers or students. Some are active students, some have dropped out of school," he said.
Kombes Komarudin appealed, entering the new school year, many new students are usually influenced by their seniors.
"From the many reports that came in, after we investigated only the children who looked like a brawl. If there really was friction, we have secured it in Johar Baru. Including the perpetrators who have repeatedly fought, now they have been arrested, there are two people, they can be said to be the brain," he said.

Following the firm action from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding the revocation of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) carried out by the DKI Education Office against students who are involved in brawls, the Central Jakarta Metro Police will also have the same effect on brawlers.
"We also remind you to take firm action. Don't think that children cannot be prosecuted. Yes, we can process the law for children. Under 17 years we can process it because the law exists. We are not playing games, so the patterns - coaching patterns that we have been doing so far are because it is not uncommon for some of them to repeat themselves," he explained.
Komarudin said the perpetrators who had been arrested then repeated the brawl because so far they had only made a statement, materai, had to report and finish.
"That's a fact. This is the plan in the future. We will no longer hesitate to take firm action against anyone. So this is a warning, a warning to parents, we apologize very much that we will take this firm action. The perpetrators of the brawl will be arrested. People just take photos, videokan, we will take the people," he said.
