3 Members Of The Tanjungpinang Police Were Fired For Drugs And Desertion
TANJUNGPINANG - Tanjungpinang City Police, Riau Islands, dismissed three of its members for being involved in drug abuse cases and committing desertion or disbursement of duties without permission.
The dismissal of the three members of the National Police was carried out during the dishonorable dismissal ceremony or PTDH at the Tanjungpinang Police Headquarters, Wednesday, August 2.
The three members of the National Police who were fired were Bripka Yoga Admaja, Brigadier Kemal Imanuela Napitupulu, and Bripda Rido Akbar.
"Two people were dismissed because they were caught in drugs and another member because of desertion," said Tanjungpinang Police Chief Kombes Heribertus Ompusung after leading the PTDH ceremony.
The police chief hopes that the dismissal of the three members of the National Police can provide a deterrent effect as well as a lesson for other police personnel within the Tanjungpinang Police to maintain ethics and behavior in carrying out their daily duties.
"Every police behavior is always a concern and concern for the community," he added.
Heribertus stated that he would not hesitate to take firm action against any form of behavioral deviation by his members.

In addition, the Tanjungpinang Police Chief also advised officers or seniors to always remind their subordinates to be disciplined and obey the rules in their duties because all major violations always start from small things.
"Please check the presence of his subordinates every day through routine morning apples. If they violate or do not attend, they are immediately reminded or checked at home directly so that incidents like this do not happen again," he said.
The police chief added that in the future he will aggressively conduct random urine tests on every personnel to anticipate drug abuse cases within the Tanjungpinang Police.
