Mutual Summation Between Posan Tobing And Boxes

JAKARTA - Posan Tobing's feud with three colleagues in Kotak has been heating up lately. He forbade Kotak to perform his songs.

Through his attorney, Posan together with Julia Angelia alias Pare, who was the initial vocalist of the Box, sent an open subpoena to Tantri, Cella and Chua.

"We made an open subpoena to Cella, Chua and Tantri," said Posan's lawyer, Jerys Napitupulu, at a press conference in Tebet, South Jakarta on July 7.

Posan Tobing forbids Kotak from performing his four songs in every appearance. The song in question includes "Different", "Love Don't Go", "Cox Relieve" and "I Want To Be Alone".

Posan also forbade Kotak to perform other songs in which he was involved in the process of creating songs, such as "Still Love", "Kosong Toejoeh", "Just obey", "Pelan-Pelan Only" and "Always Love".

Meanwhile, Pare wants songs from his songs such as "Sendiri", "When I'm Far away", "fly", "Phobia", "One Love", "About Life", "Allow Me", and "Injured" are no longer sung by Kotak personnel who are still active.

Through his subpoena, Posan and Pare felt they had never been asked for permission when Kotak performed the songs. He also questioned the flow of money from royalties on the songs that Kotak brought in every appearance.

Responding to Posan and Pare's open subpoena, Kotak held a press conference 19 days later. Cella questioned the two points circulating on social media as a result of the summons. He questioned the circulation of news that Kotak was a band belonging to Posan, as well as the issue of royalties demanded by Posan and Pare.

"We need to say that the Box appeared in a talent search event for The Dream Band. In the event, the name Kotak was formed with personal approval from HAI Music. Then the management of the Box was transferred to the current party, Warner Music," Cella said in Thamrin, Central Jakarta on July 26.

Regarding the prohibition of singing Posan and Pare's songs, Cella doesn't mind at all.

"Even without a subpoena, it's not sung," he said.

The Box guitarist also sent a counter summons. He asked Posan to lift the ban on songs created together.

"We gave back so that Haposan would lift the ban on songs created together. That is our answer to his open subpoena," Cella said.
