Becoming A Corruption Suspect, Kabasarnas And His Subordinates Were Immediately Arrested By The TNI Puspom
The TNI Military Police Center (Puspom) has named Kabasarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi and his subordinate, Lt. Col. Admi Afri Budi Cahyanto, as suspects in the alleged corruption case. So, both of them were immediately detained as of today.
"We will also detain the two of them tonight and we will place them in a military detention installation belonging to the Air Force Military Police Center in Halim," said TNI Danpuspom Marsda TNI Agung Handoko to reporters, Monday, July 31.
In determining the suspects against the two active TNI members, Agung said, the TNI Puspom investigators had investigated the statements of the private parties who were involved in the procurement project at Basarnas in the 2021-2023 period.
As a result, the actions of the Head of Basarnas and the Coordinator of Administration (Koorsmin) of the Head of Basarnas are considered to fulfill elements of criminal acts of corruption.
Both were charged with Article 12 a or b or Article 11 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.
"Investigators from the TNI Puspom have stepped up the investigation stage of this case to the level of investigation and named both TNI personnel active on behalf of HA and ABC as suspects," said Agung.

The alleged corruption case in Basarnas began in 2021. At that time, Basarnas opened several job project tenders announced through the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE).
Then, in 2023, Basarnas re-opened tenders for three work projects, namely, procurement of debris detection equipment, procurement of Public Safety Diving Equipment, and Procurement of ROV for KN SAR Ganesha (Multiyears 2023-2024).
The three private parties who were also named as suspects then took a personal approach by meeting HA as the Head of Basarnas and ABC as the Head of Basarnas as assistants and HA confidants, in order to win the three projects.
During the meeting, it was suspected that there was an agreement to give a sum of money in the form of a fee of 10 percent of the contract value. The determination of the amount of the fee is allegedly determined directly by HA.
