Palace Prepares 8 Thousand Invitations To Commemoration Ceremony Of Proclamation Seconds
Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said the Presidential Palace had prepared 8,000 invitations for the public to directly participate in the proclamation second-second commemoration ceremony at the Presidential Palace on August 17, 2023.
"On August 17, we have prepared. There are a few differences. First we (will prepare) fully physical invitations, a total of approximately 8,000 (invitations)," he said, in a press conference related to the Agenda of the Month of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, at the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 31.
Heru said 8,000 invitations would be prepared for both those who would attend the proclamation second-second commemoration ceremony in the morning and for those who would attend the Red and White flag lowering ceremony in the afternoon at the Presidential Palace.
"Of course we apologize if this participant or the invitation is quite a lot to be present at the Palace, we cannot fulfill all of them, due to limited places," he said.
People who wish to register to attend the ceremony at the Palace can register on the www.view.istanapresiden.go.id page, at the time it will be announced.
The Palace will soon launch the application or registration page. Later, people who will register as ceremony participants must meet a number of requirements including photocopies of ID cards, photos of themselves and must have received the third stage of vaccination or a COVID-19 booster. All selected ceremony participants will receive a braceletcode that will be used as access to the Palace.
The 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence on August 17, 2023, will also be enlivened by a number of activities such as the heirloom flag procession from Monas to the Palace through a horse statue.
In addition, the TNI will also present an aircraft parade performance, which this year will be attended by all TNI dimensions.

Heru, who is also the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also prepared the entertainment stage on August 17, 2023 in the morning, which was intended for people who did not have the opportunity to attend the Merdeka Palace.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also prepared a number of videotrons at a number of points, including at Monas and the HI Roundabout so that people can watch the proclamation second commemoration ceremony through the screen.
The series of celebrations for the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia have started since early August. Various events were prepared starting from the angklung event at Gelora Bung Karno on August 5, 2023, the Berkebaya Palace event which can be attended by all people in front of the Presidential Palace on August 6, 2023, to the video mapping at Monas on August 17, 2023.
The government also reminded people throughout Indonesia to start putting up the Red and White flag at home, shop houses, offices and other agencies, starting from August 1-31, 2023.
