When Taylor Swift's Concert Caused An M 2.3 Earthquake
JAKARTA - Spectators at Taylor Swift's concert in Seattle caused activities similar to the M 2.3 magnitude earthquake.
Eras' big stadium tour from the pop star hit Lumen Field for two nights last weekend (22-23 July).
Seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach told CNN that the data collected during the show showed seismic activity on a large scale.
Caplan-Auerbach said its "shock twice as strong" as an event known as the 'Beast Quake', which occurred in 2011 when Seattle Seahawks fans celebrated a touchdown in NFL matches.
"The main difference is the duration of the vibration," he added. After the recall lasts for a few seconds, but eventually subsides. This is much more random than concerts."
For Taylor Swift, I collect about 10 hours of data where the rhythm controls behavior. The music, the speakers, the rhythm. All that energy can be pushed into the ground and shake it.
A fan at the show said: "You can really feel the ground shaking under your feet."
On the first date in Seattle, Taylor Swift and Haim made their straight debuts for the Evermore track, namely No Body, No Crime.
Haim supported Swift at the last stage of her stadium tour in North America and they joined her for the 2020 release song during the Evermore set segment.
