Ministry Of Health Collaborates With Ministry Of Education And Culture To Discuss Sanctions For Doctors' Bullying

Deputy Minister of Health (Wamenkes) Dante Saksono said his party would meet with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to discuss more deeply regarding sanctions for perpetrators of bullying in the world of medical education.

"Later we will discuss it deeper with Pak Nadiem (Mendikbudristek). Earlier I spoke with Pak Nadiemdan earlier we agreed to talk together," said Deputy Minister of Health Dante at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 26.

Dante's statement was to answer the possibility of sanctions that were more than administrative sanctions for perpetrators of bullying in the medical world.

"Yes, it will be more than administrative," he said. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has issued the Instruction of the Minister of Health Number HK.02.01/Menkes/1512/2023 concerning Prevention and Handling of Bullying for Students at Education Hospitals within the Ministry of Health. the minister's instruction has already been regulated at the level of sanctions, but only at the level of written warnings, suspension, and is expelled from educational institutions.

Definitions of bullying in that provision include physical bullying, hitting, pushing, biting, kicking, locking someone in a room, pinching, etching, including blackmailing and damaging other people's belongings, and sexual harassment.

Meanwhile, the verbal category in the form of threatening, embarrassing, degrading, disturbing actions, giving other names (name-calling), criticizing / mocking, intimidating, cursing, and spreading news that is not yet clear.

Then the classification of cyberbullying includes the act of hurting or hurting other people's hearts using electronic media such as conveying news or incorrect videos with the aim of provoking or defaming other people's good names.

Meanwhile, non-physical and other non-verbal bullying such as acts of isolation, neglecting, sending canned letters, providing guard duties beyond reasonable limits, requesting financing for curricular, extracurricular, or other expenses beyond the stipulated education costs.

The Ministry of Health guarantees that all information gathered through the complaint feature is maintained in confidentiality at the Inspectorate General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
