East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Leonardus Simarmata said the MIK suspect was arrested while fleeing on Jalan Lintas Sumatra, West Sumatra Province.
"Our suspect took firm and measured action because he tried to fight and run away during the arrest. We are committed to taking firm action against the perpetrators of the brawl. The perpetrator is a recidivist," said Kombes Leonardus to reporters, Wednesday, July 26.
The MIK suspect was arrested for slashing an hansip officer named Nasib on Jalan Kalisari 3, Kalisari Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.
The incident began when the victim Nasib was about to return home after carrying out security duties. The victim then met by a gang of perpetrators using 5 motorbikes.

The victim, who is a security guard, then appealed to the perpetrators of the brawl to disperse. Then the perpetrators did not accept it.
Then one of the perpetrators with the initials MIK got off the motorbike after the victim while carrying a sickle. The victim was stabbed by the MIK suspect on the left back using a sickle.
Due to the alertness of the officers, the main suspect in the stabbing was finally arrested on the Sumatra route.
"The MIK suspect has a crime record, there are 3 cases. In 2019, the suspect was arrested in a theft case, detained in Cipinang Prison. Currently, the suspect is charged with Article 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code," he said.
