West Java Quick Response Builds Pioneer Bridge In Pelosok, South Garut
West JavaQuick Response (JQR) built a pioneer bridge in remote areas of South Garut, precisely in Awi Gombong Village, Talaga Wangi Village, Garut Regency.
JQR Operations Coordinator, Irvan Hilmy said the bridge connects two important villages, namely Kampung Awi Gombong and Kampung Ciharinem in Talaga Wangi Village, Pakenjeng District, Garut Regency.
"The realization of the bridge brings new hope to the community," said Irvan as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 25.
Irvan said residents in the two villages often face difficulties in carrying out their daily activities, because the previously used wooden bridge was badly damaged and endangered its users.
Disconnected access to transportation causes limited mobility, especially in transporting agricultural products, health and access to education for school students.
With the help of this new bridge, people can breathe a sigh of relief and JQR swiftly responds to this urgent need by starting the construction of a new bridge.
Through synergy with the local community, the construction of this bridge can be completed in a relatively short time.
"We will finish it within 12 days, this is thanks to the mutual cooperation of the residents with the team," said Irvan.
The new bridge has a wider road width and a strong design, this bridge not only facilitates the movement of the community, but also opens up new economic opportunities for the region.
"Farmers and traders can now easily transport their agricultural products and merchandise to a wider market, increasing local economic potential," he said.
The construction of this bridge is also proof of the commitment of the West Java Provincial Government in building infrastructure that pays attention to the needs of people in remote areas.
"It is hoped that the construction of this bridge will be an important milestone in improving the quality of life of the community," he said.
Irvan explained that the construction of this bridge was also thanks to the support from PT Migas Utama West Java, and the pentahelix collaboration was one of the directives from the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil.

Meanwhile, the Head of the TJSL Division of PT Migas Utama, West Java, Ridwan, admitted that he was grateful that the newly built bridge could be directly used by the local community.
According to Ridwan, this success was the result of the collaboration of all parties from JQR, Vertical Rescue Indonesia (VRI) and the mutual cooperation of residents.
"This is the second bridge that we also participated in. Honestly, seeing a bridge that was originally damaged and unfit for use. Now we can replace it with a stronger bridge, and can accelerate and make it easier for school children and inter-village economic activities can continue. Hopefully this is useful. This is what we can give to the people of Kampung Awi Gombong," said Ridwan.
Ridwan revealed that this new bridge was built with the spirit of cohesiveness and hoped that in the future the local community could take care of the bridge.
