Hit And Run Perpetrators At The Peak Are Still Being Hunted By The Cianjur Police
The Cianjur Police, West Java, are still hunting for the perpetrators of the hit-and-run that killed Cucu (53), a resident of Cimacan Village, Cipanas District, on Jalan Raya Puncak, Cianjur.
Head of Cianjur Police Traffic Unit AKP Anaga Budiharso said his party still needed additional information from witnesses to confirm the type of car and police number that hit the victim to death.
"The car is already known to be red, but the police number is not yet known because after the identification of the CCTV installed, the number and driver have not been clearly seen. We are still asking for information from other witnesses to confirm," said Anaga, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 24.
The police have collected CCTV footage along the Puncak to Cianjur route, but most of the conditions are dark so the passing cars are not very clear, especially the police numbers.
The police are still synchronizing the type of car with footage on CCTV to find out the number of police, the identity of the driver, and where he fled to. He promised that in the near future he would be able to uncover the case and arrest the culprit.
"We will immediately reveal it after the results of the investigation and complete identification are carried out by opening CCTV footage and additional information from new witnesses," he said.
