Hindia Finds Bright Spots Between Anxiety on New Album
JAKARTA - The story that Hindia wants to convey in its second album is complete. Released by Sun Eater to digital platforms on July 21, Lagipula Hidup akan Berakhir (Bagian II) completes the epic work of this musician and songwriter from Jakarta.
Lagipula Hidup akan Berakhir (Bagian II) is the continuation of Bagian I which was released last July 7. The album will also be released as a whole in double CD format which collects all 28 tracks contained therein.
Apart from that, Hindia will also hold several special concerts of Lagipula Hidup akan Berakhir (Bagian II), in Surabaya on August 13, Semarang (August 20), Bandung (August 23), and Jakarta (September 30).
If in Bagian I the songs tend to be gloomy by discussing heavy topics such as death and despair for world conditions, then the 14 tracks in Bagian II – although not exactly optimistic either – contain tips for continuing life no matter how bad the situation is.
Then, apologizing to his nephew and his generation for the burden they had to bear due to the negligence of their predecessors at Alexandra; celebrating love in the face of a myriad of trials in Bayangkan Jika Kita Tidak Menyerah; and plucking up the courage to escape the grind of a tedious job at Berdansalah, Karir Ini Tak Ada Artinya.
If there is a message that can be summarized from Bagian II, then according to Hindia the message is, "There is always someone to laugh at. You don't always have to be sad when you meet a dark situation. Depends on how you see it." It's okay to laugh at yourself, like what Hindia did with the Nabi Palsu, which aims to eradicate views that worship him excessively, even though he's just "your idol with convoluted lyrics".
Like Bagian I, Bagian II again presents Enrico Octaviano as the main producer with two songs he worked on with Kareem Soenharjo. Apart from Nadin Amizah, there were also various well-known collaborators such as Teddy Adhitya and Rendy Pandugo who each contributed vocals and guitar in the song Jangan Jadi Pahlawan, Rayhan Noor and Petra Sihombing who each played guitar in Kita ke Sana and Berdansalah, Karir Ini Tak Ada Artinya, and Kamga who played a major role in the vocal field, both as a backing vocalist and as vocal director.

In terms of satisfaction with this album, Hindia also admitted, "I feel like everything I wanted to do since I was a child is here." It cannot be denied that the success of Menari dengan Bayangan, the first album released at the end of 2019, made Lagipula Hidup akan Berakhir an album that was highly anticipated.
This can be seen from how the tickets for the album screening event on June 30 sold out in just a few hours, and some were even willing to fly from Manokwari to Jakarta in order to be one of the fans who could hear the album first.
However, if there is high expectation for Lagipula Hidup akan Berakhir, Hindia can already respond casually. "I was more tense during the first album than now," he said. "I'm grateful if people have given time to listen to the album, even if they don't like it."
