He conveyed that the ship accident incident was first informed by members of the Central Mawasangka Police on Monday morning. "Based on the report, his party immediately dispatched the Muna SAR Alert Rescue Team using a rescue car and carried a rubber boat at 2.50 WITA. "In addition, at 04.50 WITA, the Baubau SAR Post Rescue Team was dispatched with RB 210 carrying two rubber boats ( rubber boats) to provide SAR assistance," Arafah said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 24. After the Rescue Team arrived, he continued, a direct search was carried out by dividing into two search teams, where the first team carried out a dive around the location of the ship accident and the second team carried out a search above sea level around the scene using a rubber boat.

Arafah said that as a result of the accident as many as 15 people who were residents of Lagili Village, East Mawasangka District, Central Buton Regency, died and six other victims were rescued. "While the total number of victims who died after identification was carried out at the Mawasangka Timur Health Center, they were immediately handed over to the family. Meanwhile, the number of survivors is currently being treated," he explained. Currently, his party is still looking for other victims from the sinking ship tragedy. "While the victims who are still being searched are 19 people, according to estimates according to the initial report, the number of victims is 40 people," he said.
