French Police Choose MG4 EV As Patrol Vehicle
JAKARTA - Currently, the development of electric vehicles is experiencing a large surge. In addition to protecting the environment, automotive manufacturers are also increasingly focused on presenting various EV models to meet consumer needs.
Not only offering advanced technology, electric vehicles are no less superior in performance than conventional engine cars. This advantage is used by the police in France.
In Meurthe-et-Moselle, French urban police added their police fleet using an electric car, namely the MG4 EV, as a patrol vehicle.
Quoted from Carnewschina, Sunday, July 23, the vehicle from Morris Garage (MG) uses the number plate "54", according to the Meurthe-et-Moselle regional code.
The MG4 EV used by the police is an entry-level or standard version, which is easily recognized by the R17 rim with gray plastic details on the front bumper and rear window without coloring.
This car is equipped with a rear wheel drive system (RWD) that produces up to 168 dk of power with an LFP 51 kWh battery capable of traveling up to 350 km in the WLTP cycle.
With reliable battery life, this police sticker-mounted MG4 EV can patrol from north to south of Meurthe-et-Moselle or vice versa, covering a distance of about 130 km with only two to three times of charging.
Armed with electric power, this MG4 EV has fast acceleration capabilities. This Hatchback is capable of reaching speeds of 0 to 100 km/hour in just 7.7 seconds, allowing them to pursue criminals quietly.
In addition, MG4 EV also has other capabilities such as compatibility with fast charging DC 88 kW, "one-pedal" function, 5-link rear suspension, MG Pilot, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability.
