The State Precast Concrete Industry Starts Digital Transformation With SAP
JAKARTA - The government continues to encourage and strive for all industries in the country, from MSMEs to large companies to start digital transformation.
Digital transformation will increase operational efficiency for the running of a business. Automation will accelerate the process while releasing workers to focus on more strategic tasks. In addition, digital transformation efforts rely on digital technology to turn customer insight into customer-centered products and services.
This helps a business to engage more customers and get more value. One of the information system models that allows a business to automate and integrate its main business processes is ERP (Enterprice Resource Planning).
ERP is able to provide solutions to various functional obstacles in running a business by facilitating sharing or sharing data, sharing information streams, and introducing or channeling common business practices among all users in the business.
However, due to the complexity and size of the ERP system, only a small part of the business is willing or able to implement various physical and financial resources and develop an ERP system itself (in-house).
One of them is as done by PT Calvary Abadi, which is one of the leaders of the precast concrete industry in Indonesia. PT Calvary Abadi has started a digital transformation journey by adopting the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP business system and became the first company to adopt the GROW with SAP Public Cloud Edition in Indonesia.
ERP is a corporate business integration program specifically designed to help improve business performance to be more effective, efficient and centralized in one data system.
By carrying out digital transformations on the latest SAP cloud offered for SMEs, this construction material industry company from Surabaya is optimistic that it can further improve the company's performance and competitiveness in the future.
Hanny Avianto, Director of PT Calvary Abadi stated that this activity can support the smooth running of the Calvary business process to further up-to-date and optimize its business operations in today's digital era.
"We hope that with the GROW with SAP, the business process can be faster, centralized in one data that can be connected to each other and can be more reliable with the current technological developments. In addition, the decision-making process will also be better and easier. So that the company's productivity and customer satisfaction will also increase," said Hanny, in his statement, quoted on Saturday, July 22.
The adoption of the GROW with SAP is estimated to take about 7 (seven) months.
"It is necessary for support from many parties so that the adoption of the ERP SAP system can be realized 100 percent in the Calvary. Gradually employees will be educated again about this, so they understand and know how to apply it. And most importantly discipline in inputting and using it," added Hanny Avianto.
