Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih Says The Characteristics Of Prone Areas During The 2024 Election In Papua Have Not Been Affected By Transportation
Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih Maj. Gen. Izak Pangemanan said his party had mapped a number of areas in its area that were prone to security during the 2024 General Election.
"It is true that mapping related to vulnerable areas during the election has been carried out. Not all areas in Papua and three new autonomous regions (DOB) are vulnerable during the election," said Major General TNI Izak Pangemanan, in Jayapura, Thursday, July 20, as reported by Antara.
Izak explained that on average, there is no transportation for vulnerable areas.
He also said that the area would receive special treatment from his party. For example, he said, in Yahukimo Regency, many areas do not yet have land transportation facilities.
"To anticipate security disturbances, his party will involve all elements, including local governments, community leaders, religions and customs so that a conducive security situation can be created during the democratic party," said Izak.

Furthermore, Izak said, the problems in Papua are multidimensional and have a broad spectrum so they cannot be arbitrary in handling them.
However, he continued, currently the security situation in Papua is getting better. "That's what we must continue to encourage so that more areas have conducive security conditions," he added.
"Let us together continue to encourage this area to be more conducive so that development can be encouraged and people feel it," he said.
