Tangerang District Social Service Handles Dozens Of Abandoned Children, Including 4 Toddlers Whose Parents Were Thrown Away
TANGERANG - Tangerang Regency Social Service (Dinsos) handled 40 abandoned children during the January-June period. Tangerang District Social Service Head Azis Gunawan said of the dozens of children, 4 of them were abandoned babies.
"We have handled cases of abandoned or dumped babies. Then there are 36 street children," said Aziz when confirmed, Thursday, July 20.
Aziz said that if the number of neglected children in 2023 is actually almost comparable to the number of handling in 2022, there are 39 children.
"In 2022 we will handle 38 street children and one abandoned baby or dumped by their parents," he said.
In handling cases of discarded babies or children, continued Aziz, his party handed them over to the Child Social Welfare Institution (LKSA) of the Tangerang Regency Government.

Meanwhile, to deal with street children, they conduct skills training so that they have the expertise to work.
"We currently have a coaching institution, the location is in Jayanti, then we have also collaborated with social foundations," he concluded.
