Body Out Of Grave In Ceberang Padang Cemetery. Due To Landslides

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Padang City, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), is seeking to evacuate bodies that came out of the tomb due to landslides that occurred at the Ceberang Padang cemetery pandam.

Secretary of the Padang Regional Disaster Management Agency, Robert Chandra Eka Putra, said Friday that his party had assigned personnel to evacuate the body.

"We ask officers to bring a body bag to collect the skeleton of the corpse that was carried away by the landslide," said Eka as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 14.

According to him, currently there are families waiting at the funeral. His party tried to evacuate to collect body parts of the corpse that were dragged by the landslide.

He also asked personnel to collect the skeleton of the corpse so as not to mix with other bodies.

"If it has been collected, we will hand it over to the family and if anyone does not have a family, we will secure it," said Eka.

BPBD Padang noted that four landslides had occurred in the city of Padang due to heavy rains that flushed the local area since Thursday night.

So far, two casualties have been hit by landslides in the Bukit Gado-Gado area, Padang City.

In addition, there were 32 landslide points that occurred in the local area and joint officers continued to try to evacuate and distribute aid to the community.
