Papuan Police Escort The Visit Of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin In Mimika, Central Papua

TIMIKA - Polda Papua oversees the security of the working visit of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in Mimika Regency, Central Papua.

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said the security of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's work visit while in Papua was the TNI, but the Police were an inseparable part that was always ready to carry out joint escorts.

"In principle, we will support with full strength in guarding the working visit of the vice president to the jurisdiction of the Papua Police," Mathius said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 11.

According to him, his party is ready to provide reinforcement to the TNI and routine tasks continue to run according to existing procedures.

"We are sure that the vice president's working visit will run safely and smoothly, both in Mimika and Nabire Regencies," he added.

The Regional Police Chief explained that his party had also laid the first stone for the construction of the Bhayangkara Hospital level IV in Mimika Regency.

"Today, we have laid the first stone for the construction of the Bhayangkara Hospital level IV to provide services for members of the National Police and the community," he explained.

The construction of the Bhayangkara Hospital level IV Mimika will last until 2024, with the hope that the construction will be completed according to the specified time.

"I emphasize that anyone who comes for treatment must be treated properly, there is no reason to refuse patients because there is no need for treatment because safety and recovery are a priority," he said.

Meanwhile, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin left for Papua to make a working visit for a week from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base (Lanud) Jakarta by boarding the Presidential Special Aircraft Boeing 737-400 TNI.

While in Papua, Ma'ruf Amin is scheduled to conduct a number of reviews and inaugurations. On the first two days of his visit, Vice President Ma'ruf will visit Timika and Nabire in Central Papua.

In Timika, Ma'ruf Amin will symbolically hand over the membership of the Social Security Implementation Agency (BPJS) to indigenous Papuans (OAP) and review the surgery of cataracts and cleft lip.

Furthermore, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin headed to Nabire for groundbreaking and tree planting as a sign of determining the location for the construction of the Central Papua Provincial Government Office. In Nabire, the vice president will have a dialogue with farmers who are members of the Real Farmers' Life (Hipeta).
