BMW Group Records Impressive Increase In Sales, BMW Electric Vehicles Donate The Best Figures
JAKARTA - BMW Group, an automotive company from Germany, reported impressive sales results in the US market during the second quarter of 2023. Total sales reached 95,533 units, which was an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
Sales details show that BMW managed to sell 87,948 units, up 11 percent from before, while Mini accounted for 7,585 units, up 48 percent from the same period before. The two brands under the auspices of the BMW Group also recorded impressive sales figures for electric vehicles (EVs).
In the EV segment, quoted from InsideEVs, Saturday, July 8, BMW made outstanding achievements in the second quarter with sales of 11,376 units. This figure represents an increase of 952 percent compared to the previous period. BMW EV models such as i4, i7, and iX managed to attract consumer interest.
Although this sales figure is still lagging behind compared to some competitors, such as Ford with 14,843 EV and General Motors units with 15,652 EV units, BMW managed to record significant achievements. In detail, BMW i4 and i7 managed to sell 7,241 units, while the BMW iX SUV reached sales of 4,135 units. Unfortunately, information regarding EV sales from Mini has not been disclosed.

So far, BMW has only managed to sell more than 15,000 EV vehicles throughout 2022. However, with this impressive sales result, it is predicted that BMW's electric car sales will continue to increase, especially with the presence of new models such as BMW i5.
