Professor Forum Urges Government To Postpone Ratification Of Health Bills
JAKARTA - A number of professors across scientific and professional disciplines who are members of the Lintas Profession Teacher Forum (FGBLP) have proposed that the government postpone the ratification of the Health Bill.
"We propose that the Health Bill be postponed, then a more credible revision will be carried out by involving the expert team, as well as all stakeholders," said FGBLP Representative Laila Nuranna as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.
His party identified a number of issues that need to be considered regarding the Health Bill, after reading, reviewing, and discussing it carefully based on evidence.
The Professor of Fixed Medicine Faculty of the University of Indonesia (FKUI) proposed that the preparation of the Health Bill be carried out more openly and participatively.
"improvement measures, improving the quality of formulation, and public participation, must be the focus to achieve a more comprehensive Health Bill and in accordance with the needs of the community," he said.
In addition, he continued, there is no urgent urgency and urgency for the ratification of the current Health Bill.
Laila said that almost all existing laws were still relevant to be used, and there were no repetitions and contradictions between one law and another.
Therefore, FBGLP proposes a petition to postpone the ratification of the Health Bill which has been signed by 84 inter-science and professional professors and continues to grow.
Nevertheless, Laila stated that her party was ready to contribute to efforts to improve the quality and perfection of the Health Bill.

Previously, Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that dissatisfaction with a number of parties against the Health Bill was a natural thing in discussions in a democracy.
