Basarnas Has Not Found The Lost Fisherman Dragged By The Waves In The Waters Of Way Jambu
JAKARTA - The Lampung National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) said fishermen who were lost in the waves while looking for fish in the waters of Way Jambu, Pesisir Selatan District, West Coast Regency, Lampung, had not been found.
Pos Coordinator (Korpos) Search and Rescue (SAR) Tanggamus Roby Rusli, representing Head of the Lampung Basarnas Office Deden Ridwansah, in South Lampung, Sunday, July 9, said fishermen named Hafis Usman bin Husin (18 years old) had not been found until the second day of the search.
"The joint SAR team is still searching for victims by expanding the search area and until the second day there is still no search," said Roby Rusli, quoted by Antara.
He said the search for missing victims on the second day was expanded and the joint SAR team would conduct a search by forming three SRUs.
"SRU I uses Basarnas rubber boats to search with a search area of radius 12 NM (Nautical Mile) to the northeast," he said.
Furthermore, SRU II conducted a search using a jukung fishing boat. "SRU II uses a jukung boat, fishermen carry out searches with a search area of radius 9 NM to the southeast," he said.
Furthermore, SRU III carried out a visual search on land or along the shoreline from the scene of the incident.
The chronology of the incident, he said, began on Sunday (8/7) at around 06.00 WIB the victim, on behalf of Hafis Usman, went to sea to fish using a ketek boat.

"The incident started at around 06.00 WIB when the victim was looking for fish into the sea with the help of a witness who was none other than the uncle of the victim M Zairi and Muslimin pushing the boat from the land to the middle of the sea," he said.
Then, he continued, the victim managed to pass the first wave and in the second wave it looked quite big hitting the boat.
"The victim jumped until the boat capsized. After jumping from the boat, the victim was not seen again. Meanwhile, the boat managed to move away from being pushed by the waves," he said.
