JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah won the Indonesian Great Women's Award 2023 category of inspirational figures who initiated the elimination of sexual violence in the workplace held by Liputan6.com.
Minister of Manpower Ida said the Indonesian Great Women's Award was an appreciation to all workers of employment policies who have committed to prevent and deal with sexual violence in the workplace.
"We give appreciation to entrepreneurs, trade unions/labor unions, because in fact they are at the forefront of the elimination of sexual violence in the workplace," said Minister of Manpower Ida in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, July 9.
According to Ida, the Ministry of Manpower has issued the Decree of the Minister of Manpower (Kepmenaker) Number 88 of 2023 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the Workplace.
The Ministry of Manpower, he said, would be meaningless if it was not accompanied by a strong desire from entrepreneurs and trade unions in preventing and fighting sexual violence.
In addition, the Ministry of Manpower continues to encourage all companies to create a task force that will later become a complaint place for victims of sexual violence in the workplace.
"Hopefully all stakeholders have a strong desire to make the workplace a comfortable place," said Ida.
