9 Million Visa Data For Foreigners Entering Indonesia Allegedly Leaked, Kemenkominfo: We Check
JAKARTA - Hacker Bjorka is suspected of trading personal data for foreign nationals (WNA) who enter Indonesia. In his blog, it is stated that the data traded is in the form of visas from foreigners to enter Indonesia issued by the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
"This database of Contain Foreigners visa to enter Indonesia issued by the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia," wrote Bjorka.
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology checked information regarding the alleged leak of 9 million visa data for foreign nationals (WNA) entering Indonesia.
"We re-checked regarding visas," said Director General of Information and Public Communication at the Ministry of Communication and Information Usman Kansong, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, July 8.
Usman said his party was still checking the information. However, he said that visa data is indeed in the same system as the Immigration Management Information System (Simkim).
"Indeed, visas are on the same system as Simkim," he said.
Previously, it was reported that as many as 34 million Indonesian passport data were allegedly leaked and traded, this information was revealed by cybersecurity practitioner Teguh Aprianto through a tweet on his Twitter account.
"For those who already have a passport, congratulations because 34 million passport data have just been leaked and traded," Teguh wrote in his tweet on the @secgron account.

Teguh explained that the leaked information data included passport numbers, validity date of passport, full name, date of birth, and gender.
Regarding the alleged passport data leak, Usman said the Ministry of Communication and Information is still waiting for a report from the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) team which has the authority to audit information security.
"Regarding the leakage of passport data, the Ministry of Communication and Information is waiting for a report from the BSSN team which has the task and function of the information security audit," said Usman.
