Smooth Steps By Marciano Norman Towards The KONI 1 Seat For The Second Time
JAKARTA - Lieutenant General TNI Retired Marciano Norman's steps to occupy the position of General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) for the second time have been smooth. Marciano Norman was elected by acclamation to continue to lead the national sports parent for the 2023-2027 term.
Marciano appeared as the sole candidate in the election held at the XIV XIV National Sports Conference (Musornas) in 2023 in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 4.
All 38 Provincial KONI provide support for Marciano to continue for the next period, and 69 of the 72 main sports also ask for the same thing.
All of the support received by Marciano has been verified and validated. The Central KONI accountability report for the 2019-2023 term of service was also received by Musornas participants.
After returning to lead the Central KONI for the second term, Marciano expressed his gratitude for all those who supported him. Marciano is determined to work optimally in order to pursue programs that have not been realized due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"With all the support from the voters, both from the Provincial KONI, parent sports and functional, I will optimize my performance to embrace all parties, because I believe we must unite to be able to excel. Therefore, in this Musornas the tagline is 'United and Presidential'," Marciano said, after being elected.
"We will face the XXI/2024 Aceh National Sports Week North Sumatra, I will immediately prepare it and focus on how the PON can succeed properly. I also hope that the media can continue to synergize in advancing sports."
"For athletes throughout the country, let's unite and be present in a good coaching process in order to achieve the dream of achieving achievements," he continued, as quoted from Antara.
