National Police Chief: We Apologize For The Actions That Hurt People's Hearts
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ensured that the National Police would continue to make improvements. The National Police Chief also apologized if his subordinates hurt people's hearts.
This was conveyed by General Sigit when giving a speech on the 77th Commemoration of Bhayangkara Day at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta, Saturday, July 1.
"There is no ivory that is not cracked. For this reason, with all humility, we apologize for the actions that hurt people's hearts," said Sigit with a thin voice and shaking.
He ensured that the Bhayangkara Corps would continue to improve and conduct evaluations. "The National Police is committed to maintaining the mandate and expectations of the community in carrying out their duties as the president's message is always embedded in the heart," he said.
"That the police are not just professions but a way to serve," he continued.
Sigit explained a number of work carried out by the Police. Including listening to public complaints through the Curhat Friday program carried out by the Kapolda to the Sector Police Chief.
"Kapolda, Kapolres, to Kapolses for interaction with the community. We will evaluate and correct the existing complaints," he said.

One of the complaints that came in was related to the making of a driving license (SIM). The examination to get it was considered too difficult.
"We (have, ed) made improvements so that SIM services are easier but still prioritize safety and skills," said the National Police Chief.
Meanwhile, for the handling of legal cases, the National Police has implemented restorative justice. "However, cases that injure people's justice, threaten lives, and safety, and have a broad impact on law enforcement indiscriminately," concluded Sigit.
