PLN Ensures National Service And Supply During Eid Al-Adha 2023
PT PLN (Persero) ensures that national electricity services and supplies are safe at the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri so that it is hoped that there will be no blackouts or other disturbances.
PLN said the national electricity peak load at Eid al-Adha reached 35.7 gigawatts (GW). Meanwhile, the supply capacity is 44.5 GW so that there is a reserve of 8.8 GW.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo through his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, June 29, explained that the current national electricity capacity is in a safe, well-maintained, and also prime position.
During the time of leave with Eid al-Adha, PLN ensured that there was no maintenance so that the electricity supply was confirmed to be reliable.
"Nationally, we convey that the electricity system is in a maintained and safe condition so that people can feel comfortable celebrating Eid al-Adha and gathering with their families," said Darmawan, as quoted by Antara.
PLN also ensures reliable and safe electricity supply is supported by guaranteed primary energy supplies. By end, the current supply of primary energy is above the safe number at each PLN generator.
For the supply of coal to the plant at Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri celebration, it is in a safe position, with the day of operation of the generator (HOP) reaching an average of 28 days.
Darmawan detailed, for the HOP of power plants in Java, Madura and Bali, the average HOP reached 25.7 days. Meanwhile, in Sumatra and Kalimantan it reached 25.1 days. Meanwhile, in Sulawesi, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara, and Papua, the HOP can reach 33 days.
PLN also ensures that the supply of fuel is safe for power plants. Currently, the stock of fuel at PLN plants reaches 289.9 thousand kiloliters (KL). Meanwhile, gas reaches 34,304 British thermal units (BBTU).
"We have and continue to ensure that all lines of business processes run well. All units, subholding and subsidiaries work to maintain electricity reliability so that people are comfortable in carrying out activities during the 1444 Hijri Eid al-Adha holiday," said Darmawan.
PLN also deployed 82 thousand personnel to be on standby 24 hours to maintain the reliability of electricity supply throughout Indonesia. The personnel are equipped with equipment and supporting fleets in the form of 1,500 generator units, 560 units of interruptible power supply (UPS), 925 units of mobile substations (UGB), 16 mobile transformers, 260 cranes, 3,300 cars, 3,400 motors, and other equipment.

In addition, PLN provides 616 units of public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) in 284 locations spread throughout Indonesia for people traveling back and forth using electric motorbikes/mobiles.
PLN also makes it easy for travelers to find SPKLU locations. Through the PLN mobile application, electric vehicle users can easily find the location of the SPKLU.
