2023 U-17 World Cup Kick Off Schedule In Indonesia
JAKARTA The 2023 U-17 World Cup officially took place in Indonesia. The following is the schedule for the age group.
The parent of international football FIFA officially appointed Indonesia to host the 2023 U-17 World Cup at the FIFA Council session in Switzerland, Friday, June 23, 2023. Indonesia replaces Peru's role.
The event will take place from November 10 to December 2, 2023. This is the first time Indonesia has hosted and made its debut in this prestigious event.
The 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be attended by a total of 24 countries. Indonesia gets a share of being a contestant because it has the status of being the host for the competition which is held every two years.
Indonesia is one of five Asian representatives (AFC) who will play later. Four other Asian representatives who got tickets were Iran, Japan, South Korea, and Uzbekistan.
Asia and Europe (UEFA) are the confederations that get the most representatives in the multi-time edition, namely five each. The five UEFA representatives who will compete are Spain, Poland, Germany, France, and the UK.
Meanwhile, 14 other representatives consist of four representatives of South America (Conmebol), two representatives of Oceania (OFC), four representatives of North America (Concaf), and four representatives of Africa (CAF).
Four representatives from Conmebol are Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela, while the four Concacaf representatives are the United States, Panama, Mexico, and Canada.
Meanwhile, six other countries are Burkina Faso, Mali, Morocco, and Senegal (CAF) and New Zealand Caledonia (OFC).
