Lukas Enembe's Assets Confiscated By KPK Reaches IDR 144.5 Billion And Can Still Increase

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed the total assets of the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe who was confiscated for allegedly related to money laundering totaling hundreds of billions of rupiah. This figure can still increase.

"So far, the provisional amount (which was confiscated, ed) is around Rp. 144.5 billion," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, June 27.

Penambahan nilai bisa terjadi karena beberapa aset masih dihitung penyidik. Selain itu, kepemilikan lain oleh Lukas dari hasil penerimaan suap dan gratifikasi terus dikejar.

"This number is very likely to continue to grow because we are still identifying other assets suspected of being the proceeds of corruption," he said.

Lukas was charged by the KPK with alleged bribery and gratification related to infrastructure projects in Papua. Furthermore, he was named a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU).
