In Order To Improve Education On Electrification Technology, PT HPM In Collaboration With UI
JAKARTA - Recently, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), which is a provider of Honda cars in Indonesia, collaborated with the University of Indonesia (UI) in the field of education and electrification technology research at the UI Convention Center.
In this collaboration, Honda loaned two units of Honda e electric car, one unit of Honda PCX Electric motorcycle, and one unit of Honda LiB-AID e500 power product to support mobility in the learning environment at UI.
Honda also provides an EV charging station to charge the Honda e battery. They also provided an environmentally friendly car unit, Honda Brio, as a research tool for UI Engineering students.
In addition, Honda provides education and workshop classes to UI students for three years at the HPM facility. Not only that, Honda also supports the UI student team in designing and building energy-efficient vehicles for the 2023 Asian Marathon Shell which will be held at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok on July 4-9, 2023.
This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and Assets at the University of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedi Priadi, DEA, as well as the President Director of PT HPM, Kotaro Shimizu, and Senior Vice President Director of PT HPM, Benawati Abas.
"This collaboration is a bridge between industry and academics in realizing electrification in Indonesia through education and research. We aim to reduce environmental impacts and provide sustainable solutions for the community and future generations," said Kotaro Shimizu, President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), in an official statement on Monday, June 26.
This collaboration is in line with Honda's global commitment to address environmental problems by achieving carbon neutrality in all company products and activities starting in 2050.

The same vision was also adopted by UI in the "UI GreenMetric" program, where the university prioritizes reforestation through various environmentally friendly programs involving all activities on the UI campus.
