NTT Attorney General Awaits Permit From Minister Of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian To Arrest West Manggarai Regent
JAKARTA - The East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati NTT) is still waiting for the permission of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Tito Karnavian to arrest the West Manggarai Regent, Agustinus Ch Dulla.
Agustinus has been named a suspect in a case of alleged corruption in the transfer of land assets belonging to the West Manggarai Regency government which costs the state IDR 1.3 trillion.
Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the NTT High Court, Abdul Hakim, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 26, said that permission to detain Dulla had been submitted by the NTT High Court two weeks ago.
"Until now there has been no permit," said Hakim.

He said Dulla had been named a suspect along with 16 other suspects who had been detained by investigators in the corruption scandal over the transfer of 30 hectares of land assets in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency.
According to the results of an audit conducted by the BPKP Representative of NTT, the state loss in the case of transferring land assets located in Kerangan, Labuan Bajo reached IDR 1.3 trillion.
According to him, if the minister of home affairs has given permission to the NTT High Prosecutor's Office, the process of detaining Dulla will be carried out immediately.
"If up to 30 days the permission from the Minister of Home Affairs has not been granted, the prosecutor's office has the authority to immediately detain the suspect," he said.
