Bareskrim Dismantles Methamphetamine Factory At The Vittoria Cengkareng Apartment
The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit dismantled an Iranian network of methamphetamine-type drug factories at the Vittoria Apartment, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. In the disclosure, tens of kilograms of narcotics raw materials were confiscated.
"Today at this location we managed to reveal a methamphetamine factory involving the Iranian network," said Deputy Director of Drugs at Bareskrim Polri Kombes Jayadi to reporters, Friday, June 23.
The disclosure of the home industry-scale methamphetamine factory began with intelligence information regarding suspicious activities related to drug networks. So, the truth is traced.
From the investigation carried out, two suspects were arrested, one of whom was a foreign national (WNA) from Iran with the initials HR. While the other is RP.
The HR suspect was arrested in an apartment unit that was used as a methamphetamine factory, on June 14. There, 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine was found ready to be destroyed and dozens of kilograms of raw materials.
"From the investigation carried out in approximately 1 week, then investigators found the target. Then we arrested the person concerned," he said.
Then, development was carried out. Three days later, the suspect RP was arrested on Jalan Raya Cengkareng, West Jakarta. During the arrest, 400 grams of crystal methamphetamine was found.

In addition, Head of Sub-Directorate 1 Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Pol Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak said that after the two suspects were arrested, the examination process was carried out.
Apparently, the two suspects were controlled by someone who is an Iranian foreigner. Now, the boss of the Iranian network is being hunted down.
"The suspect, one HR, is under the control of the DPO X, which we are pursuing," said Calvjin.
From the disclosure of this case, the evidence confiscated was crystal methamphetamine ready for distribution, 12.36 kilograms of methamphetamine raw materials stored in contenters, 2,500 ml of Astanom, precursors and equipment to produce other methamphetamine.
Then, the perpetrators were charged with Article 114 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 112 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 113 of the Criminal Code, concerning narcotics. They face the death penalty.
