Blitar Immigration Detains 3 Foreigners For Misappropriating Stay Permits
BLITAR - The Class II Immigration Office of Non-TPI Blitar, East Java, detained three foreign nationals (WNA) for violating documents set in Indonesia.
The Head of Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement (Inteljakim) of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, East Java, Junaedi explained the three foreigners, two from Pakistan and another from Singapore.
"The two Pakistanis have the initials IM and WM. This immigration action comes from public reports that there are two foreigners living in Panggung Pacung Hamlet, Kaligambir Village, Panggungrejo District, Blitar Regency, which are considered disturbing to local residents," Junaedi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 19.
His party said that the report was then followed up and then secured the person concerned to the Blitar Non-TPI Class II Immigration Office for further questioning.
The two foreigners are male, namely IM (39) and WM (24). From the results of the officer's examination, based on a photocopy of travel documents that were successfully secured, namely a Pakistani national passport on behalf of IM and WM, both of them entered Indonesia not through the examination of immigration officials. Allegedly, they went through the rat route, namely Dumai.
Immigration officers then took them, for violating Article 119 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration with a maximum imprisonment of five years and a maximum fine of IDR 500 million.
In addition, Blitar Immigration officers also detained MB (66), a male, a Singaporean foreigner. This is known from the passports of Singapore that were found.
MB entered Indonesia using a Singapore passport with a visit visa to continue SI and S2 education at a university in Indonesia.
While in Indonesia, MB already has Indonesian population documents with two identities with the initials Y, born in Pacitan, February 9, 1973 and MB was born in Kampong Pachitan Off Changi Rd S'pore on September 25, 1956.
MB is known to use Y's identity to have three passports issued in Malang and Kediri Immigration.
In addition, it is also known that MB has never obtained a valid citizenship status based on Law Number 12 of 2006 concerning Citizenship.
Head of the Blitar Non-TPI Class II Immigration Office, Arief Yudistira, said that MB had been in and out of Indonesia for a long time. In fact, it has been recorded that it has been 10 times back and forth to Indonesia.
"Entering Indonesia since 1984, so it has been a long time. The person concerned has been in and out of Indonesia 10 times," he said.

He explained, in 2007, MB married an Indonesian citizen, then also worked as a lecturer at a university in Tulungagung.
Currently, immigration is coordinating with relevant agencies, because it turns out that the person concerned also gets population documents such as ID cards and families. We confirmed with the Singapore Embassy, and confirmed that he is still a Singaporean citizen," said Arief Yudistira.
Currently, MB has also been given immigration administrative action in the form of detention in the detention room for the Class II Non-TPI Blitar Immigration Office. He has violated Article 8 paragraph (1) letter a and letter b of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
