Rumors Circulated As KPK Suspect, Minister Of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo: I Don't Understand That
Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo is reportedly named a suspect in a corruption case handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Responding to the issue that blew during a working visit in Solok Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), the Minister of Agriculture admitted that he did not understand the news.
"Oh, I don't understand that," said the Minister of Agriculture, Wednesday, June 14, as reported by Antara.
When asked further about the issue, the former Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) was reluctant to answer reporters' questions. The NasDem Party politician went straight to the parked official vehicle, then left the location for the review of the red onions development area in Solok Regency.
The former Regent of Gowa visited Solok Regency for a review of the area for the development of shallots. This activity is known to be part of a series of XVI Farmers Penas activities centered at Sutan Sjahrir Air Base, Padang City, June 10-15, 2023.

The KPK has now opened an investigation into alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture. This information was confirmed by Plt. Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu.
"Currently, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture," said Asep.
Asep also could not provide further information about the case because the process is still under investigation.
"That's right, it's still in the process of being investigated, sorry we haven't got any information yet," he said.
In line with that, the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, confirmed the investigation and the agency has examined a number of parties related to the alleged corruption. "So far, what we know is true, the stage of the process of requesting information from a number of parties on allegations of corruption at the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture," Ali said. Ali called the investigation a follow-up to public reports received by the KPK and followed up with the law enforcement process.
