Transjakarta Enters Soetta For Airport Employees Tested Early July
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the Transjakarta bus route to Soekarno-Hatta specifically for airport workers will be tested early next month. "Before it is fully operational, this will be tested. We hope that trials can be carried out no later than the first week of July with 15 bus units," Syafrin told reporters, Wednesday, July 14. In this trial, Transjakarta buses will be dispatched from Kalideres Terminal by direct route to Soetta Airport. Furthermore, the DKI Provincial Government will try an alternative route to find travel efficiency. "Of course we will carry out in the trial its entirety. Then the most efficient route can be chosen from the service side and that will be served by Transjakarta," said Syafrin., PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II proposed TransJakarta buses can serve routes from and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport at certain hours in the morning and evening to serve employee mobility. "President Director (Director) AP II Muhammad Awaluddin said the number of workers at Soetta Airport reached around 40,000-50,000 people working in various agencies such as AP II, airlines, ground handling, government agencies, commercial tenants, and so on. "Every day these workers are motivated from and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. If there are TransJakarta buses then they can provide more choices of transportation modes for airport workers," said Awaluddin.
