DENPASAR - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bali, deported a foreign national (WNA) from Canada for raging and causing a commotion in Seminyak, Badung Regency.
"Based on a recommendation letter from the police, we deported the perpetrators," said Ngurah Rai Immigration Chief Sugito in Denpasar as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 14.
The Canadian foreigner with the initials MRD was arrested by officers shortly after raging and making a fuss carrying sharp weapons on June 9, 2023 in Seminyak, North Kuta, Badung Regency.
According to him, the 30-year-old man committed dangerous acts for security and public order.
MRD, which entered Bali through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on May 13, 2023, has a limited stay permit as an investor.
He returned to Montreal, Canada on Tuesday (13/6) with Malaysia Airlines with flight number MH-852 through Kuala Lumpur-Doha and continued to Canada.
Based on an examination by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Division (Inteljakim), MRD admitted that it was the purpose of his arrival to Indonesia to invest in companies he founded in the real estate sector.
However, Ngurah Rai Immigration did not provide details regarding the current investment and development.
To the officers, MRD also admitted that the sharp weapon he brought was only a clone and the commotion he made because he was under the influence of alcohol.
