Road Repair Projects In Padanglawas To North Tapanuli, North Sumatra Begin To Be Worked
The North Sumatra Provincial Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) said the regional strategic road and bridge project with a multi-year scheme had reached 43.71 percent.
Acting Head of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) of North Sumatra, Marlindo Harahap, said the project's work was progressing.
"There is progress compared to mid-May 2023 which at that time was still 38.08 percent," said Marlindo Harahap, in Medan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 13.
From the 43.71 percent progress, said Marlindo Harahap, Waskita Karya contributed 16.76 percent, followed by PT SMJ 15.84 percent, and PT Pijar Utama 11.10 percent.
"The implementing contractors continue to spur their performance in the field, they pursue even day and night, and with the construction of AMP facilities so that asphalt supplies are not constrained," explained Marlindo Harahap.

Marlindo explained that roads, bridges and drainage projects in Padanglawas and North Padanglawas regencies have been working on since early June 2023.
"Likewise in North Tapanuli, Asahan, Tanjungbalai, Samosir, Dairi and other areas," he said.
To note, the multi-year project is IDR 2.7 trillion, using a design & build method. As planned, the road length to be handled is 450 km, the bridge is 20 units (box culvert) and 71 km of drainage channels.
