Prepare 21,000 Sir, IBC Will Spread 6,000 Battery To Swap Station
JAKARTA - Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) launched a prototype Battery Asset Management Services (BAMS) which is predicted to be able to produce around 21,000 packs of batteries by 2023.
The allocation of 15.000 of them is used on electric motorbikes, while as many as 6,000 others will be spread across the battery exchange station throughout Indonesia.
"The platform that IBC offers will provide integrated and technology-supported charging infrastructure," said Secretary of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Rabin Hattari as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 13.
He said this launch would provide certainty for consumers who can easily charge electric vehicles throughout the region.
BAMS is here as an electric motorcycle ecosystem platform that can accommodate users of various brands of electric motorcycles, as well as users of conversion motors.
This can be realized thanks to the collaboration between IBC and industry players as well as conversions, namely Gesits, Volta, Alva, Viar, United, Bintang Racing Team, and the EV Spora.
The BAMS platform includes new generation batteries that have good performance with well-maintained security, swap stations, and IOT applications that are integrated from all existing and integrated points.
So far, explained Rabin, there is one main obstacle that needs to be resolved in encouraging wider adoption of electric vehicles, namely reliable and efficient battery charging and management infrastructure.
Without adequate infrastructure, he said, electric vehicle users will face significant obstacles, especially in terms of travel distance and limited charging.
In an effort to overcome this challenge, continued Rabin, IBC as part of the BUMN ecosystem has made a big leap in providing solutions to the diversity of battery types in each electric vehicle product circulating in the community.
The project will help accelerate the development of charging and battery management across the country.
"IBC is working with leading electric motorcycle manufacturers, including conversion bikes, to ensure broad compatibility and accessibility for users," he added. In addition, the BAMS infrastructure from IBC will provide efficient and secure battery management solutions. By using advanced technology.
Mwnurut Rabin, the IBC can monitor battery health, maintain preventive maintenance, and optimize charging cycles to extend battery life.
"Of course this will reduce the cost of long-term maintenance and provide the reliability needed by electric vehicle users," he explained.
The presence of BAMS will not only benefit electric vehicle users, but will also have a broad positive impact in various sectors.
In the long term, the platform will create new jobs in the energy technology industry, improve the local economy, and help reduce our overall carbon emissions.
