Ska Orgie Balut Single Unit Melancholis In Cheerful Music Ala Ska
JAKARTA - The newcomer band, Orgie, released her first single, entitled Malam. This song comes from the punk Ska genre carried by the music unit from Pulogebang, East Jakarta.
Orgie is fronted by Japonk (vocals), Agga Satria (guitar), Faruq (guitar), Wanteck (bass), Sickboy (drums), Yudhi Lord (keyboards/trombols), and Farel (saxophones).
Japonk the vocalist said that in the lyrics, single Night raises the theme of unresolved romance.
"The song Malam tells the story of a man who falls in love with a woman. Because he loves too much, the man doesn't even have the guts to state," said Japonk in his statement.
"The man can only hide his love in his dreams, because only in that dream, the man can spill all forms of his love to the woman he loves," he continued.
Although the lyrics are thick with melancholic themes, single Malam is actually wrapped in cheerful music that is full of enthusiasm. The upbeat element in this song seems to imply the willingness of the male figure in the song who chooses to harbor love forever.
Single Malam has been Orgie's first sport since its establishment on November 10, 2022, right at the moment of National Heroes' Day.
The launch of the single night is also the opening of Orgie's series of works that are ready to release her first album titled Orgie Party in the near future.
