Safari Park Help Evacuate 5 Crocodiles From The Settlement Of Ciamis-Cirebon Residents
BOGOR - Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) Bogor assisted the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA) in evacuating five crocodiles from the Ciamis and Cirebon regions.
"The five wild crocodiles were evacuated from residential areas of Ciamis and Cirebon residents. Three from Ciamis and two from Cirebon," said Head of the Bogor Safari Park Animal Curator Imam Purwadi in Cisarua, Bogor Regency, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 8.
According to him, this step is a form of commitment to Safari Park in the field of wildlife conservation in Indonesia.
"It was evacuated to the Bogor Safari Park as an effort to conserve wildlife to avoid conflicts with residents," he said.
Imam said the evacuation process for the five crocodiles went smoothly and safely with direct monitoring by BBKSDA West Java.

The Bogor Safari Park, said Imam, was chosen by the West Java BBKSDA as an agency for the evacuation and rehabilitation of crocodiles from Ciamis and Cirebon because they have the readiness of supporting facilities and infrastructure.
"TSI was chosen because of the readiness of supporting facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, we rehabilitated these five crocodiles in the captivity of the Taman Safari Bogor crocodile," he said.
