Truck Overtakes Car In Semarang, 2 People Died
SEMARANG - Semarang Police revealed that two people died in an accident where a land truck hit a car on Jalan Prof. Hamka, Ngaliyan, Semarang City, Central Java.
Kasatlantas Polrestabes Semarang AKBP Yunaldi said there were two other victims who were children as a result of the incident.
"One victim who was trapped in the car was rescued," Yunaldi said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.
The two victims who died in the incident were the driver and a car passenger who was sitting in the front seat. Yundi said that his party was still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
He also expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance from the joint police officers, the TNI, Basarnas, and the local community in assisting the evacuation process which lasted about four hours.
Meanwhile, the evacuation of the overturned truck body was carried out using one excavator. As a result of the incident, traffic jams occurred on Jalan Prof. Hamka during the evacuation process.

Previously reported, the Toyota Agya car was hit by a land transport truck on Jalan Prof. Hamka, Ngaliyan, Semarang City, Wednesday afternoon, at around 11.30 WIB.
The ground truck drove from south to north before finally hitting Toyota Agya until it rolled over and was dragged several meters.
